A non restored Rapide Series A is not a common sight!
Or maybe it is? This bike anyway, is frequently used by its owner, Marcus B, with little or no concern to the fact that many might think that it belongs in a museum.
During autumn 2013 he took his machine, produced in the 30-ies, on a lengthy trip from England to Holland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, and back.
Again a testimony to the fact that the age of a Vincent has little to do with the ability to go touring abroad. Though it is only wise to carry at least some tools and spares along.
Here a close up picture of the engine from his visit to Neville Higgins in Sweden. It isn't difficult to understand why this bike was nicknamed "The Plumbers Nightmare".
A better photo of the A-Rapide is found in "Picture of the Month, April 2013".
