The pearl of the Baltic Sea turned out to be a very well chosen place for the annual Vincent meeting. We knew this already, since we had a meeting here in 1996. Since so many of us enjoy the meetings, the participants began to arrive on the Tuesday afternoon. We who came earlier did some driving around the island, a boat trip to Kristiansö and a visit to the Hammershus ruins. Sometimes, it's enough to just enjoy the atmosphere, meet friends and just be, a specified program for every hour of the day isn't necessary.
The meeting place was a pub in the centre of Allinge where there is a live music performance with skilled artists every night during the peak season. The mad chef of the pub was great at cooking Danish food which wasn't only good; it was enough to fill even the most starved biker. He also gave signed a wild ride in his Panther driven sidecar.
All in all, there were around 60 participants on 22 Vincent bikes from Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Norway. Apart from a few punctured tires and stripped splines on a chain sprocket, all bikes made the tour to Bornholm and back again without problems.
