The nice thing with the motel and its yard was that all was in one place; we could even have the bikes conveniently parked outside our rooms.
The meeting hosts had done a great job and the result was a very well organised meet. A smart T-shirt was presented to each participant and the ones who had filed an early application got a nice gift, consisting of a wooden gift box with three different kinds of beer! Namely the variants Comet, Rapide and Black Shadow.
Apart from food of gourmet class and the usual activities, we had a lot of fun at the former race track Saxtorp, today a regular stretch of country road. This was followed by beer tasting at the motel which was highly appreciated. There was a risk of rain in the forecast, but luckily enough any rain missed us totally.
It is not fully known if all were that lucky on the trip to Fleninge or on their way home.
The meet saw 70 participants, 12 of which came from Germany, ten from Denmark, two from the Netherlands, two from Great Britain, one from Poland and one from France! On site were 40 Vincent bikes out of which 39 bikes were present all of the weekend.
This means that a new record was set when it comes to participation!
(Poor Mats and Dag who are about to arrange next year's meet in Västervik on the east coast. Such a spoiled crowd to tend to!)
