En Rapide som tillhör Håkan R passar bra som "Månadens Vincent" eftersom vi nyss blev kontaktade av dottern till en tidigare ägare av hojen i Bristol på 50-talet.

Jenny skrev till oss: Jag försöker ta reda på om min far Arthur James Winstones Vincent motorcykel fortfarande är i trafik eller har en nutida ägare.
Vincenten exporterades till Sverige 2006.

This Rapide now belonging to Håkan R is a good choice as "Vincent of the Month" as we recently were contacted by the daughter of a previous owner.
A gentleman who owned the Rapide in Bristol during the first part of the 50-ies.

Jenny wrote to us: "I am just trying to find out if my father Arthur James Winstone's Vincent motorcycle is still in use or who is the current owner!"
The Vincent was exported to Sweden in 2006.

"Min pappa dog 2000 men han berättade att han blev tvungen att sälja mc:n för att få råd att hyra en flyttlastbil för att flytta från St George till Hanham i Bristol 1960. Så vitt jag vet bodde han på 20 Northcote Road, St George, Bristol tillsammans med farfars syster Mabel Billings. På nummerplåten kan jag se att den var registrerad i Bristol med nummer NHW 759. Han åkte många miles på de och reparerade den i sovrummet på andra våning. För att få den nerför trapporna fick han hålla emot med ett rep. I ett foto på gatan är den parkerad mittemot Nr. 20. Jag har också skickat med ett foto från 1954 där han är i Skottland, så han måste ha ägt den mellan 1954 och 1960."

"My Dad died in 2000 but he told me he had to sell the bike to be able to hire a removal van to move from St George to Hanham in Bristol in 1960. As far as I know when he last owned the bike he lived at 20 Northcote Road, St George, Bristol lodging with my Great Aunt Mabel Billings. I can tell from the number plate that the bike was registered in Bristol Reg no NHW 759 he rode many miles on it and rebuilt the machine in the upstairs bedroom of 20 Northcote Road and had to get it down the stairs by slowing its decent down the staircase with a rope. In the photo on the street it's parked opposite No 20. I have also added a photo from 1954 where he's in Scotland so he must have owned it between 1954 & 1960."
