Looking at this Picture of the Month You can see a lot of "Racing Spirit" and adrenaline. It is also an excelent proof of that a Vincent still can perform at the race tracs.
We got the blessing from Phil Canning to select this picture as "Picture of the Month. He is the one on the bike and the picture is from the International Island Classic at the Phillip Island GP circuit in January this year. More than 50.000 spectators came to see the races with a lot of wellknown riders.

Phil Canning entered the Unlimited Classic 1945 to 1965 Class with his mostly original 1949 Vincent Rapide facing serious competition from much later machinery. For Phil it was only his second ever race meeting, so the outcome was really impressive.
Secont in first race and then second again in next race. Third in race three (and riding with a massive hangover!), and the weekend ended with a victory in race four.

Phillip Island is a small island at the south coast of Australia, not far from Melbourne. The island have 10.000 residential inhabitants and 32.000 penguins.

It might feel unfair that they should have this kind of weather down there when we only can see snow and ice on the other side of the window. I guess that it will be even when we come to June and go to the meet in Travemünde

	Tittar man på den här månadens bild ser man en hel del "Racing Spirit" med gott om adrenalin samt ett utmärkt bevis på att Vincent fortfarande duger till att dominera i Classic Racing. Med Phil Cannings medgivande utser vi den här bilden till "Månadens Bild" för mars. Det är Phil som kör och bilden är tagen under International Island Classic på Phillip Island GP-bana med många kända förare. Racet gick i slutet på januari och mer än 50.000 åskådare kom. Phil Canning ställde upp i klassen Unlimited Classics 1945 till 1965 med sin ganska original Vincent Rapide 1949. Med tanke på att konkurransen från nyare hojar var hård och att det bara var andra riktig racet någonsin för Phil så blev resultatet imponerande. I första racet kom han 2:a och likadant i det andra. På tredje racet blev det trots bakfylla en 3:dje plats och helgen avslutades sedan med seger i fjärde racet. Phillip Island är en liten ö på syd-sidan av Australien, ganska nära Melbourne. Det bor 10.000 fasta invånare och 32.000 pingviner på ön. Vi kan tycka att det är orättvist att de skall ha sommarväder när vi tittar ut och hittar mängder med vitt djupfryst vatten, men det jämnar väl ut sig när vi kommer till juni och åker till Travemünde.
